Sláinte! It almost seems like the East side is booming with an abundance of fantastic places in 2022, huh? I mean, they just keep pouring in. Here’s another one for the books: Hubs. Located at East Coast Road, the quaint bistro & bar is Irish-themed, and serves up a slew of delicious booze and grub.

A large barrel inscribed with the Irish phrase, ‘Céad Míle Fáilte‘ which means ‘a hundred thousand welcomes’, will greet you at the entrance, along with a beautiful interior that is decked in stereotypical Irish colours and furniture. Also, do expect to find Guinness (S$7.50 for a half pint, $14 for a full pint) on tap here too.

Moving on to my favourite part, the food! Whether you’re looking to have a quick bite with your booze or a proper meal, Hubs has it all. Expect to find starters like Cheese Platter (S$22.80), Baked Camembert (S$18.80), Mushroom Stuffed Escargots (S$14.80 for six pieces), Chicken or Mutton Satay (S$10.80 for six), and much more on the menu.
They also have a huge bowl of Tonkatsu going for only S$12.80!

Moving on to mains— Hubs serves an array of Irish and local-influenced dishes. For the meat lovers, have a go at their mouth-watering Irish Beef Stew (S$18.80) or HUBS Platter (S$48.80). If you’re looking for something light and easy-to-eat, do try their famous Truffle Mushroom Pizza ($16.80) or Crab Pasta (S$18.80).
If you’re not a fan of the above, Hubs also serves a bowl of comforting Cottage Pie (S$12.80) or Fish & Chips (S$18.80).
If a pint of Guinness just won’t do, they also have Kilkenny (S$14 for a full pint), Heineken (S$7 for a half pint, S$14 for a full pint), and a large selection of wine, spirits and ciders on the menu.
