After opening eight successful dining outlets across the Central and Western regions of Singapore, IPPUDO opens its ninth outpost in the East at i12 Katong where their tonkotsu-based ramen continues to anchor the menu and is complemented with a wide variety of toothsome bar snacks, appetisers, and side dishes alongside a selection of over 100 sake and Japanese liquor.
The new outlet will feature engaging wall projections, Japanese manga art, and an ‘action-filled’ open kitchen for diners to marvel at while warming their bellies up. The contemporary open kitchen concept will also have a bar counter to divide the cooking area from the dining, so you don’t have to worry about getting burnt! Like their other outlet in Mohamed Sultan, the restaurant will also be opened up further spatially with an adjacent al fresco dining area to cater to your people-watching needs. There will also be a LED projection display providing visual entertainment to accentuate the dining experience.
Apart from their signature tonkatsu-based ramen, the outlet will also feature its newest non-pork additions and vegetarian options. Complementing these are a variety of yummy sides like Hotplate Hamburger Steaks made with premium Japanese beef, Kochi’s Speciality Bonito Tataki, and an Asian Tom Yum-style Fried Rice. Adventurous dessert lovers will also love their Special Matcha Tiramisu—matcha sponge cake soaked in Japanese liquor, and topped with fresh whipped cream and mascarpone.
This outlet will also shine a spotlight on IPPUDO’s sake and Japanese liquor offerings, bearing a menu more extensive than any of their other outlets. Expect to find more than 100 varieties of wines, unique Japanese sake, whisky, shochu, umeshu, craft beer, chu-hi, and gin, available by the glass and by the bottle.
