The popular bagel store, Keen’s Bagelry, will be moving out of its iconic Curbside Crafters location on 27 Dec 2023.

The business made the announcement via its Instagram, in which it thanked its customers for the support over the past one and a half years. Thankfully, for fans of the Japanese and NYC-inspired bagelwiches, this isn’t the end of Keen’s Bagelry— the store will reopen in Asia Square in Feb 2024.

Despite its unconventional location within a lifestyle marketplace, Keen’s Bagelry quickly rose to fame when it first opened, with many touting it as one of the best bagel spots in Singapore. The store was founded by Keen, a Nanyang Business School graduate who opted to switch career paths and join the F&B industry instead.

The bagelwiches at Keen’s Bagelry are each stuffed generously with savoury ingredients like eggs, chicken and smoked salmon. I had the pleasure of visiting it back in 2022, and was blown away by its giant, chewy bagels and liberal amount of fillings.

If you’re looking to catch Keen’s Bagelry at its OG outlet, be sure to head down immediately before its 2 month-long hiatus. Some popular creations include the Truffle Salmon Bagel (S$15), filled with Norwegian smoked salmon, house-made Italian truffle mayo, UK torched sliced yellow cheddar and Hokkaido milk scrambled eggs with cheddar, and the Nostalgia Bagel (S$13), containing a tulip chicken luncheon, yellow cheddar, spicy ketchup, a sunny side up, a hashbrown, house salad and tomatoes.

I tried the irresistible Truffle Chicken Bagel (S$13.50) and was blown away by the thick, juicy oven-baked chicken leg, aromatic truffle mayo and oozy cheddar. You must try adding Hokkaido Milk Scrambled Eggs for S$3.50, as they elevate the bagels wonderfully.

We wish Keen’s Bagelry all the best in their future endeavours at Asia Square and can’t wait to enjoy their bagels again soon!
