Kopi Soh coffee shop at 443 Ang Mo Kio Ave 10 has opened for about a month now and boasts 10 stalls including 6 new players. Residents living around this neighbourhood (like myself) will probably know that this kopitiam is somewhat “cursed”.

So why do I say that, you ask? That’s because within a period of 1.5 years, it has changed its stalls and facade like a sneakerhead spotting new kicks every day. Previously known as AMK 443 Eating House which closed in April, Kopi Soh opened its shutters on 4 May 2025.

Noticeable with its vibrant purple signboard is 黄阿姨面店 (aunty Huang noodle store). I recently did a takeaway of their noodles, and wow — they really impressed me.

I enjoyed the Aunty Special Noodle (S$6.50), which came with noodles topped with minced meat, mushrooms, fried wanton skin, regular meatballs, and the star of the show: large, fried juicy meatballs.

The stall also has Fishball Noodles (S$4), Signature Fried Meatball Noodles (S$5.50) (take my money already!) and Malaysia Style Noodles (S$4.50).

If you enjoy sha po fan, why not swing by Woong Kee Traditional Claypot Chicken Rice? Besides the classic Traditional Claypot Chicken Rice (S$8 for 1 pax, S$14.20 for 2 pax), the stall also features a couple of dishes with a little twist.

To spice things up with a sprinkling of umami-ness, there’s the Claypot XO Chinese Sausage Rice (S$8 for 1 pax, S$14.20 for 2 pax). If you want some Japanese vibes, the menu also features Claypot Unagi Rice (S$11.80).

Have an inkling for braised dishes? Then Zhong Hua Braised • Kway Chap has got you covered with Kway Chap Sets (S$4.50 for 1 pax, S$8.60 for 2 pax), Braised Duck Rice (S$4.50), and Braised Pork Rice (S$4). Go ahead and feast away!

Soon Heng Prawn Noodle serves Pork Ribs Prawn Noodle (S$6.80), Laksa (S$5), and Signature Mini Wok (S$8.80). Personally, I’ve savoured the Traditional Prawn Noodle (S$4.50/S$5.50), and I’d say it’s pretty decent.

For those who used to enjoy the plates of noodles from Lai Li Economic Bee Hoon, you’ll be glad to know that they’ve shifted to the opposite side. The zi char and mixed rice stalls are also returning favourites from before the renovation.
