How severe is your instant noodle addiction? Do you see your favourite 30-minute cup noodles as a meal for when you’re too lazy to cook, or as a simple snack? Whichever way you roll, you may want to check out Koramie, an instant noodle shop located in Johor Bahru.

Inspired by the convenience stores in South Korea, Koramie is open 24 hours a day. This means that you can pop by any time you want, especially when those midnight cravings hit. The shop opened its doors to the public on 21 Aug 2023, right after 3 days of a soft launch from 18 to 20 Aug.

As Malaysia’s first instant noodle-themed restaurant, there’s no denying that Koramie is equipped with the the best of the best— not only does the restaurant emulate Korean convenience store vibes, the space is also filled with a variety of instant options, and a central counter for you to cook your noodles.

The restaurant carries instant noodles that originate from several different Asian countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea.

If you’re one to add on extra toppings to your noodles at home, fret not. Koramie offers additional ingredients for you to turn your noodles into a proper meal. In the freezer, you’ll find fish balls, cheese, kimchi, and even tteokbeokki. Hygiene isn’t an issue either, as each add-on is wrapped individually to avoid cross-contamination.

After paying for the food, customers can then make their way to the induction stoves where fresh water, utensils, and bins are provided. For convenience, each customer is given a sturdy paper bowl to cook and eat in. You can even finish off your instant meal with drinks or ice-cream that are also available to purchase in-store. Just don’t forget to clean up the mess you make!

If you’re an avid fan of instant noodles, or are simply looking for new flavour to try, visit Koramie the nest time you’re in JB!
