The title gave it away, didn’t it? Kueh and Kusu is Singapore’s first and only sea-bound afternoon tea. If you’re already enjoying your prettily plated finger food and desserts, this elevated afternoon tea experience is guaranteed to wow you completely.
Sindo Ferry will chart a course for Kusu Island, during which guests can indulge in a halal-certified afternoon tea menu of kueh in a beautifully decorated garden-themed ferry. The 35-minute ferry ride in a utilitarian boat has gotten a makeover—we’re talking fairy lights, plush pillows, flowers, the whole hog.
The Kueh and Kusu adventure (S$60) consists of a selection of pastries and local kueh, such as baked chicken pie, chocolate éclairs, finger sandwiches, blueberry cheese tarts, chocolate swiss rolls and kueh dadar. Every set also comes with free-flow Earl Grey tea for you to sip on as you enjoy the view of the Marina South Coastline and Southern Islands. If you’re not big on afternoon teas but want to plan something memorable, Kueh and Kusu isn’t the only thing on the list. Sindo Ferry also offers a Sunset Voyage (S$55+) where the ride back from either St John’s Island or Lazarus Island is timed perfectly with the sunset. You can admire the Singapore skyline and the sunset on the ride, and maybe snap a picture or twenty for the ‘gram while you’re at it.
