Can’t get enough of Nike’s food-related kicks? Besides expressing your love for fried chicken by donning the Air Max SE ‘Swoosh Mart’, why not pay homage to our favourite cup of kopi with a pair of Nike Daybreak?

Joining the likes of the Air Force 1 and Nike Air Max 97, the Nike Daybreak is the latest sneaker to be added to Nike’s range of coffee-inspired kicks. Unlike the other two predecessors, the Nike Daybreak deviates from the norm with its light brown colourway.

Expect to find obvious nods to the caffeinated beverage all around the sneaker with its suede and nylon base mimicking the delicious shade of coffee crema. This creates a cohesive caramel brown that allows for the lighter cream shade of the laces, tongue and heel to shine through, adding a touch of lightness that brightens then entire kick.

To further showcase the entire coffee theme, there is also a ‘Roasted By Nike, Inc.’ stamp branded on the back of the shoe—a emblem of freshness and authenticity. If you are wondering what does ‘Lot 97005’ and ‘SP21’ mean, ‘Lot 9700’ is, in fact, the postal code of Nike’s headquarters in Oregon, while ‘SP21’ refers to the ‘Spring 2021’, the season and year in which the sneaker is released.

Especially to my fellow cat butlers, lookout for a cute imprint of a cat sitting comfortably in a mug at the insoles of the Nike Daybreak. This is certainly one cute little detail that won my heart almost instantly the moment I laid my eyes on it!

Tempted already? Luckily for us, Foot Locker has got us covered. Retailing online for S$179, you can purchase the sneakers online or head down to their stores to snag a pair for yourself.
