New in town: Nimbus — Rebranded cafe with industrial theme has truffle beef bowls and tuna steak

Nimbus, formerly known as C Cafe, is a new cafe in Joo Chiat that opened in mid August 2022. Nimbus boasts a vibrant and warm industrial-themed interior, and has introduced brand new items to its menu.

From 8am to 3pm, dig into Nimbus’ breakfast items, like Breakfast of Champions (S$25), containing pork sausage, pork bacon, sous vide eggs, tater tots, sauteed mushrooms, grilled cherry tomatoes and a slice of artisanal sourdough toast, and Avocado on Toast (S$19), which comes with a slice of artisanal sourdough toast topped with smashed avocado, dukkah, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, radish, feta cheese and a wedge of lemon.

Meanwhile, from 11am to 4pm, try out Nimbus’ lunch menu items, like the sweet and savoury Golden Waffle (S$24), a charcoal waffle paired with a fried chicken thigh and drumstick, maple syrup and French butter, or go for a Wagyu Beef Burger (S$26), containing a brioche bun filled with a wagyu beef patty, house made burger sauce, gouda cheese and roma tomatoes, served with a side of tater tots and salad.

Satisfy your seafood cravings with the Lobster Roll (S$32), an England-style brioche bun filled with a Maine lobster and served with fries and salad, or the Tuna Steak (S$28), which is seared and served medium rare with a sweet soy glaze, rustic potatoes and salad.

End your meal with a dessert from Nimbus, like the Nutella Cheesecake (S$9), New York Cheesecake (S$9) and Chocolate Lava Cake (S$12). Go for a healthier option with the Greek Yoghurt (S$8.50), which is topped with home-baked vanilla maple granola, mixed seeds, fresh fruits and honey, or the Tropical Acai Bowl (S$15).
