A new cafe has opened in Wisteria Mall in Yishun. Not Just Mee is a fusion food cafe offering 15 types of noodles, as well as rice bowls and an assortment of delectable beverages.

Dig into Not Just Mee’s range of pastas, with classic variations including Carbonara (S$12.90), containing spaghetti, bacon, thyme, cream and a sous vide egg, Italian Sausage (S$15.90), topped with sausage stuffing, tomatoes, basil and mushroom, and Seafood (S$18.90), which comes with angel hair pasta, prawn and clams.

I am most intrigued by their fusion pasta dishes, like the Laksa Pasta (S$16.90), made with linguine, fresh mussels, squid and laksa cream, and the Tomyum Pasta (S$16.90), containing linguine, fresh clams, prawns and Thai tom yum cream. They even have a Chilli Crab Pasta (S$16.90), which consists of penne, homemade crab bisque, crab meat and tobiko!

If you’re craving something more Asian, why not try out Not Just Mee’s Korean Ramen (S$14.90), served with homemade kimchi, tofu, ramen and an egg? Japanese options would include their Yaki Soba with Beef (S$19.90), a soba dish topped with black angus beef, ponzu sauce, seaweed and chilli, and the Japanese Soba with Seabass (S$17.90), served with a seabass fillet.

True to its name, Not Just Mee doesn’t just serve mee dishes. Dig into their rice bowls, like the Black Angus Beef Rice Bowl (S$15.90), which comes with USDA beef, mushrooms, onions and an onsen egg, Miso Salmon Rice Bowl (S$15.90), served with Norwegian salmon, white miso, mushrooms and an onsen egg, and the Mentaiko Salmon Rice Bowl (S$16.90), which similarly comes with Norwegian salmon, mentaiko, mushrooms and an onsen egg.
