I know I’m not the only one riding the oat milk train because not only is it better for the planet it’s also better for you. So, you can imagine my excitement when I found out that our favourite oat milk giant, Oatly has now come up with its first vegan ice cream line. As if I couldn’t feel any more special, Singapore is one of the first countries in Southeast Asia where Oatly will launch its vegan ice cream line.  I guess 2020 is looking slightly better after all.

Available exclusively on Redmart and selected Fairprice Finest outlets, Oatly’s new vegan ice cream comes in six flavours Chocolate, Strawberry, Vanilla, Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut Swirl, and Salted Caramel. Each tub will set you back S$16.90 a tub but there are a couple of sweet deals for the month of November and December 2020 that will make it worth your while.

If you purchase Oatly ice cream in November from Fairprice Finest, you can get it at a special price of S$14.90. While in December, you can get any two flavours of Oatly ice cream for the only S$29.90 and get a free cooler bag. How’s that for going plant-based? Frankly, I have my eye on the delectable trio of Chocolate Fudge, Hazelnut Swirl and Salted Caramel because a cheat day feels just as satisfying when I don’t sink into the depths of an uncomfortable food coma.

Just for those who are all about the details, this ice cream is vegan and free of dairy, lactose, and soy ingredients. Just as David Attenborough very strongly suggests in his latest feature, David Attenborough: A Life On Our Planet, our planet is in a dire state and our consumption habits need to change.

Along with the Impossible Meat that’s also available in Fairprice Finest outlets, this is clearly is a yummy step in the right direction.

Dates & Times: Available now on Redmart and selected Fairprice Finest outlets

Prices: S$16.90 per tub.
