I think I’ve cracked the code for struggling boys who can’t buy flowers for their girlfriends because of pollen allergies. There’s still a way to gift her a gorgeous bouquet of her favourite flowers, and a sweet dessert worth drooling for—that answer lies on top of a lemon cheesecake in the form of lychee-flavoured jelly. You’re killing two birds with one floral jelly cheesecake, and Petals by Victoria.H makes it possible, one vibrant jelly flower at a time.

Previously a home-based business, Petals by Victoria.H has expanded to a physical storefront with a dainty pink-and-white exterior. Their lemon jelly cheesecakes are an aesthetic upgrade from the regular jelly cakes trending now—every cake boasts of intricately-designed flowers that’ll make you do a double take, just to confirm that they’re not actually real flowers trapped inside clear jelly.

Petals by Victoria.H’s signature work of art is her Cheesecake Bouquet (S$65) from the Designer Series, a four-inch cake with flowers made using milk and hand-injected using a syringe and needle. They offer an impressive variety of flowers such as roses, sunflowers, peonies, daisies, hydrangeas, and verbenas that you can customise to your (girlfriend’s) preference. And the best part? These jelly flowers will always be in bloom, no matter the season or time of the year. Each cheesecake is lemon flavoured, with every mouthful carrying a light citrusy note that contrasts the creaminess of cheesecake in a bright show of decadence. Make sure you get some of the lychee jelly on top, and it’s as though you’re taking a walk in the park underneath flowering trees on a warm summer’s evening, but in cake form.

If you’re in charge of bringing something to girl’s night, Petals by Victoria.H also offers Floral Petit Domes (S$50 for 4), miniature versions of the Cheesecake Bouquet, though no less realistic and intricately breathtaking. There’s no skimping on the details and effort—every floral dome boasts of either a singular big flower, or multiple small ones, and rest assured all of them will bring springtime cheer to your home. Every box of Floral Petit Domes comes with a random assortment of flowers for a blossoming surprise, though if you have a theme or colour in mind, customisation is offered for an additional fee. The floral petit domes come in two flavours of jelly atop their signature lemon cheesecake—lychee jelly, and an upcoming passionfruit jelly that’s fragrant, tart and melts in your mouth.

As a self-declared cake connoisseur, I’d say that you’ll be hard pressed to find cakes as much of a sight to behold than these. While they’re visual masterpieces that will leave everyone ooh-ing and ahh-ing after dinner, real dessert fanatics who prefer to let only their tastebuds do the talking might find themselves slightly less blown away.
