I have to admit, I’m a sucker for foods that boast a gorgeous lava flow. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing an oozy stream of molten cheese dripping down the sides of a dish, and if you feel the same, PizzaMaru‘s Halla Cheesy Volcano Pizza is a new dish to try this month.

PizzaMaru’s new Halla Cheesy Volcano Pizza, which is inspired by the Hallasan in Jeju, South Korea, is a seasonal limited dish consisting of a pizza topped with a nacho chip dome and completed with a generous amount of nacho cheese on top.
The new creation, sized at 12″ per pizza, comes in two flavours; Spicy and Non-Spicy. The Spicy variation contains spicy shrimp and costs S$39.80. The Non-Spicy version, on the other hand, features boneless fried chicken as its protein and comes in slightly cheaper at S$36.80.

PizzaMaru’s Halla Cheesy Volcano Pizza is only available from 5 Jun to 30 Jun 2023 at all of their outlets. Wondering how this unique fusion dish is savoured? Upon being served to your table, a heap of nacho cheese is added to the top of the nacho dome. Afterwards, diners can use their spoons to crack the surface of the nacho dome, revealing the pizza underneath.

I love dishes that offer textural contrasts, so I’m sure that I’d enjoy eating the crunchy nacho chips with the softer pizza base. Given the 12″ size of the pizza, it is also suitable for 2 to 3 pax, according to PizzaMaru, so that you can enjoy a hearty meal with your family or friends.
Like PizzaMaru, more and more F&B companies are coming up with unique dishes that combine different types of food to form new creations. Just recently, Burgs launched their Supreme Croissant Burgers, which combined French croissants with American burger fillings. How unique!
