Daebak! Get Your Korean Chicken Fix With Popeyes’ New K-POPeyes Wings Till 23 Jul

Since Korean fried chicken first reached our shores, it has captured our hearts, or should I say stomach?

The newest to join the relentless K-wave is Popeyes, and they have combined their signature New Orleans-style chicken recipe with everyone’s favourite crispy Korean fried chicken.

The result? Popeye’s K-POPeyes Wings ($8.90 for set meal) is made of sweet, crispy wings marinated for 12 hours. Coated in a soy sauce that packs a kick, we found it a little too spicy but that didn’t stop us from reaching for more with the help of a refreshing cup of Pepsi.

The garlic bits and white sesame seeds sprinkled on top added an aromatic crunch to the already crispy chicken. Available from 12 June – 23 July 2018, Popeye’s latest chicken sensation is more than eye-popping, it’s soy yummy!

Other new entries to look out for are the Churro Fries ($2.50 for 4 pieces). Served with a molten chocolate sauce, you can bet these are just as sinful as they sound. Psst, if you find your tongue still burning from the spice, we found that the chocolate help alleviates the heat from the wings!
