It seems like the dry grasslands have reached the trendy streets of Joo Chiat. While it’s not exactly a new in town, it’s surely a more in town. Prairie By Craftsmen is no stranger to those who love afternoons feasting on cakes or croissants in an equally beautiful place.
Yes, the one at Joo Chiat is no different. We have the tried and tested formula of gleaming terrazzo round tables, and bright blue walls that have got me all smitten. True, while I was at the Prairie by Craftsmen’s Bukit Timah outlet and I was less than impressed. But, I do believe that the folks at Craftsmen are always improving their craft, so I shall try it before I knock this one too.

Well, it’s hard to write a new in town when we can’t exactly be out in town. Still, we adapt like the staunch Singaporeans we say we are, and we wait patiently for restrictions to be lifted and for life to resume. Of course, the Joo Chiat outlet of Prairie by Craftsmen is still adamant about feeding us, so you can still pop by for cakes, coffee, and pastries. While you’re at it, you can even suss out where’s the best spot to take photos. After all, that’s what we’re there for, right?
Not to mention, from now till 18 August 2021, there is a 15% off their cakes, pastries, muffins, kitchen foods, bottled drinks, and retail items. All the better to grab all the goodies you want. While the Joo Chiat outlet is not ready for online deliveries yet, I’d say make it a point to get dressed up and visit the cafe, and you can make a day out of it.
Also, on 30 July 2021, the cafe will be launching its breakfast menu, so you snag a little something more with your daily croissant. The full menu will be launching on 6 August 2o21, so keep your eyes peeled for Prairie holds in store for us.
Another thing that you might appreciate about Prairie is that the outdoor seating is pet-friendly too. Afternoon dates with your favourite doggos are all we we really want.
