Telok Ayer is truly the gift that keeps on giving. If you’ve made your rounds in the eclectic neighbourhood, you’ll know that the streets of Telok Ayer is never short of exciting electric cuisine. Whether you want modern Sichuan cuisine or classic French crepes, you’ll know where to go. Well, the latest to be added into the fold is the snazzy QīN Restaurant and Bar located in the equally glitzy Clan Hotel.

The newest addition to TungLok Group dining concepts, QīN Restaurant and Bar centres on the concept of family, whether they be by blood or chosen. QīN celebrates those important relationships near and dear to our hearts with an array of contemporary Asian dishes. But first, what’s dinner without a view? Bask in the exciting and bustling views of Cross Street, which also happens to be one of Singapore’s oldest streets.

Start your dinner with their signature Short Rib (S$68) that is sure to transport you to the streets of Indonesia. Featuring a hefty 400g 100% Margaret River Angus Beef short, I don’t need to tell you that you’re in for a treat. Grilled over the Binchōtan and served with spicy peanut espuma, you’ll be dreaming about it long after the dinner is over.

If not, have at their Canton Crisp (S$38), a hearty twist on the classic Cantonese dish. Instead of the usual beef brisket, this one is first braised in a pickled cream and served with crispy vermicelli.

Try the Chilli Crab Crostini (S$25) promises all those big flavours sans the usual chilli crab mess. For dessert, take a more nostalgic route with your evening, with Childhood Memories (S$15) which I’m guessing is a more grown-up version of Milo Dinosaur. Otherwise, the very pretty Hot And Cold “Orh Nee” (S$12) is sure to round out your evening proper.

Moreover, QīN Restaurant and Bar is bow running an opening special where you get to enjoy 20% off at QĪN  from now till 31 March 2021. Plus, if you are a TungLok First Member, you’ll also get to enjoy a complimentary Rose Love Letter (S$12) during lunch and dinner.
