R&B Tea Singapore’s Thomson Plaza Branch Stays Open During This Extended Circuit Breaker

Having bubble tea withdrawals after the temporary closure of your favourite bubble tea chains in Singapore? Here’s some good news for you. R&B Tea Singapore has just announced that its Thomson Plaza branch will resume operations as per usual until further notice. 

Famous for its Brown Sugar Fresh Milk, R&B Tea Singapore offers a huge selection of beverages for bubble tea lovers out there. Not too long ago before the circuit breaker was implemented, they also introduced the Fruit Yogi Series to aid digestion with a range of delicious, healthy bubble teas. 

You might want to know the reason why R&B Tea gets a free pass and why it’s only the Thomson Plaza branch reaping its benefits. I personally reckon it’s because the shop is located in a Koufu foodcourt, making the standalone bubble tea shop part of a food court. According to MTI’s update of the tightened list of essential services, food courts are considered an essential service. 

Before everyone goes flocking down to that one bubble tea shop, do take note that it is crucial that we practice safe distancing when we are collecting our bubble tea. Only head down if you’re staying in close proximity to Thomson Plaza, or if you’re eligible for delivery via Foodpanda.

Otherwise, it’s best to be socially responsible and wait till the Circuit Breaker is over before you get your bubble tea fix again. You can also shop at alternative places where bubble tea is still available or make your own tapioca pearls during this Circuit Breaker.
