Are you constantly on a hunt for halal Japanese BBQ food in Singapore? Well, today is your lucky day. Ryo Yakiniku is Singapore’s first Muslim-owned eatery selling affordable Japanese BBQ food in a casual coffeeshop setting. Conveniently located 10 minutes away from Tai Seng MRT, Ryo Yakiniku also offers a unique dining experience.

To be honest I’ve never had Japanese BBQ before so if you, like me, are clueless about what to get, you can opt for their 2 Pax Set Meal (S$40). The meal will come with 200g of karubi (boneless beef short rib), 50g of prime karubi, 50g of beef tongue, 200g of chicken slices, one set of vegetables, mushrooms, miso soup and onsen egg, and two bowls of rice.

Judging by the image above, you’d definitely be leaving with a full belly after the meal. So, remember to go easy while stuffing your face.

If you like to order your dishes à la carte, you also have the option to do so. As you get seated, you will be served a menu from which you can choose from nine different types of Japanese-marinated meats like Karubi (S$6), Gyutan (S$4), and many more.

It’s not every day you head over to a coffeeshop to find a grill on the table for you to do your own BBQ, right? What’s more, this Japanese yakiniku also serves generous portions as well, so be sure to bring more than one friend along with you to enjoy your meal. Do note to call ahead and make a reservation as the eatery doesn’t allow walk-ins.
