Salt & Palm Singapore is an upcoming resto-bar which will be opening its doors to the public at Joo Chiat on 23 Mar 2023. It’s opened by Mark Soetantyo, Managing Director and CEO of Blue Waves, and his sister, Natasya Soetantyo, the Executive Chef of Blue Waves— what a powerful brother-and-sister duo!

Salt & Palm first laid down roots in Sydney, Australia before its expansion into our shores. The Singapore outlet will march to a different drum from its Australian counterpart, presenting flavours derived from the East Indies as an entire archipelago through its fun and progressive menu.

Treat your taste buds to a modern interpretation on flavours with the Prawn Bisque Pasta (S$32). It’s a tantalising and umami-rich dish which consists of king prawns, onsen egg, bean sprouts, tobiko and chives.

Another dish to lookout for is the Porchetta (S$32). Imagine Australian pork belly cooked in a luscious Balinese-spiced coconut gravy served with crispy pork crackling, and a chilli lemongrass shallot salsammm, my appetite has just been fired up!

Rendang aficionados will go gaga over the Beef Short Ribs (S$52), which features slow-cooked grain-fed Australian beef short ribs served with rendang sauce, and sprinkled with aromatic toasted coconut flakes.

A great meal isn’t complete without desserts. For a sweet finish, enjoy their signature treats like the vegan Pavlova (S$18) (which is made of aquafaba meringue, mango passionfruit cream, mangoes, torched peach, strawberries and blueberries. You may wish to have a go at the vegan Pandan Coconut Crème Brûlée (S$15) as well.
