Due to popular demand, Cold Stone Creamery has brought back its Nasi Lemak and Chendolicious ice cream flavors for Singapore’s 54th birthday.

Cold Stone Creamery’s Nasi Lemak Ice Cream (S$8.50) resembles the local dish quite a bit. You can expect coconut ice cream sprinkled with crispy rice puffs, ikan bilis and peanuts coated in sambal, as well as cucumber slices for garnish.

I am not sure how well the spicy sambal will go with the sweet coconut ice cream, but if you’re someone who’s up for the challenge, you can even request for the new Double Spicy flavour.

To achieve the whole nasi lemak experience, top up S$1.90 for a limited-edition freshly made Pandan Waffle Bowl.

If the Nasi Lemak ice cream seems too far out of your comfort zone, perhaps you can try the Chendolicious Ice Cream (S$8.50) instead.

This Chendol-inspired flavour comes with a coconut ice cream topped with green jelly, red bean, attap seeds and gula melaka (palm sugar). To add some crunch to your ice cream, you can add a Plain Waffle Bowl for S$1.20.

Whether you’re a huge fan of Chendol or not, Chendolicious seems like a pretty safe and delectable ice cream flavour to try.

Psst, you’ll get to enjoy a 15% discount on your ice cream when you pay with Mastercard.

This National Day, it’s time to enjoy some locally-inspired Nasi Lemak and Chendolicious ice cream!
