During my time here at SETHLUI.com, I’ve attended three Shake Shack openings and have never been disappointed. There’s something trusty about a loaded beef burger in hand, and adorable merch to bag home at the end of the day. I’ve seen the hoardings, but now it’s official—the fast food joint welcomes its 7th outlet at Gardens by the Bay.

Come 28 August 2021, Shake Shack Gardens by the Bay will open its doors to the public, but not without limited-time specials to accompany this unveiling. A loaded Roasted Garlic Mushroom Burger (S$12.50 for single, S$16 for double), as well as Roasted Garlic Fries (S$6.50), are the outlet exclusives to look out for this season before they’re eventually made available at other outlets from 3 September 2021 to 15 October 2021.

The burger features a provolone cheese burger paired with sautéed portobello mushrooms caramelised in butter, and finished off with crispy fried shallots and a tangy roasted garlic mayo. I’m not saying that it’s a burger that’s worth risking a visit to the hospital for, but it’s a burger worth risking a visit to the hospital for, no cap.

As true Shake Shack enthusiasts might already know, there’s always special edition fries to pair. The Roasted Garlic Fries sees crinkle-cut fries topped with roasted garlic mayo, parmesan, and a sprinkle of fresh scallions.

Concretes

The two exclusive concretes featured here will be the Berries by the Bay (S$7.50, S$9.50) which has a vanilla custard base blended with forest berries jam and shortbread, and is finished with fresh blueberries and dried osmanthus flowers. Following the floral take, the Tropic Like It’s Hot (S$7.50, S$9.50) is a refreshing alternative featuring vanilla custard blended with mango, passionfruit, and shortbread, complete with mango chunks.

In line with Shake Shack’s mission to Stand For Something Good®, 5% of sales from the Shack
AttackTM concrete will be donated to Singapore Environment Council, a non-profit dedicated
to sustainability issues and coordinates environmental efforts in Singapore.

Landscaping & Collab

Seeing as it’s housed amongst some of Singapore’s most iconic gardens, this outlet will be a landscape of lush foliage and florals curated by the horticulturists behind Gardens by the Bay. Inside the Shack, guests can spot coral bells and home-grown calla lilies, with curtains of amaranthus and asparagus ferns framing different design elements. There will also be a centrepiece—a floral chandelier—in the centre of the Shack boasting comforting, warm tones.

Diners can also spot murals by local artist soph O’s vivid mural inspired by the similarities between undulating terrains and varying plant patterns at the Flower Dome.
