What are SkillsFuture credits?

If you already understand the SkillsFuture credit system, just scroll down to the details of how you can use the SkillsFuture credits expiring soon. If not, here is a quick overview.
SkillsFuture Credit (SFC) is a government initiative to promote lifelong learning by subsidising course costs. It can be applied to eligible work-skills related courses on the MySkillsFuture portal. All citizens aged 25 years or older as of 2020 get:
- S$500 opening credit with no expiry
- One-time top-up of S$500 that expires on 31 Dec 2025
- S$4,000 for mid-career individuals (aged 40 years and older) with no expiry; this amount can be used for selected MySkillsFuture courses only
The credits are meant to help with course fees but do not cover administrative fees and course equipment.
