This year, the SkillsFuture Festival 2024 runs from 9 Jul to 21 Aug at various venues islandwide. Expect an exciting lineup of roadshows, free workshops, job tasters and more!

If you are Singaporean, you have probably heard of SkillsFuture. Introduced in 2015, SkillsFuture is a government initiative that provides citizens with the opportunities to receive training and education so they can strengthen the workforce.

To support mid-careerists in their second career, the SkillsFuture Level-Up Programme was introduced in May this year for Singaporeans aged 40 and above. It includes an additional S$4,000 SkillsFuture Credit that can be used for more than 7,000 refresher courses.

Early Childhood Career & Learning Fair (20 & 21 Jul, 11am – 8pm, Northpoint City South Atrium)

Passionate about inspiring young minds? Attend the Early Childhood Career & Learning Fair to explore training opportunities in the early childhood sector. Discover SkillsFuture initiatives, job-skills insights, and employment opportunities in this high-growth industry.

Activities include face-to-face interviews with employers, one-on-one skills and training advisory consultations, career coaching, and free workshops to help boost your prospects.

My Career Health Matters: SSG-WSG Jobs and Skills Roadshow (25 Jul – 28 Jul, 10.30am – 8.30pm, Compass One, Level 2 Atrium)

Whether you are a fresh graduate or a mid-career switcher, understand your current employability at the My Career Health Matters: SSG-WSG Jobs and Skills Roadshow.

There will be sharing sessions from experts and resources to take your career to the next level. There will also be hiring opportunities and 1-on-1 dialogues with career consultants.

World X: Green & Sustainable World (3 Aug, 10am – 2pm, Lifelong Learning Institute)

Targeted at youths in tertiary institutions, World X is a career exploration event where students can interact directly with professionals in the blooming sustainability industry.

Singapore, for instance, is poised for a green energy jobs boom, with the Government’s more ambitious solar energy targets for 2025 and 2030 paving the way for more jobs here.

Besides experiential activities such as job tasters, networking sessions will also be provided to connect industry experts to youths. Youths can also take advantage of career resources.
