Regardless of whether you’re in the mood for some baked European pastries or a high-end, classy dinner, Sonder has you covered.
Sonder is a new dining establishment that will be opening on 17 May 2022. In the daytime, this Euro-Asian concept is a bakery bistro selling freshly baked breads and pastries. At night, it transforms into an omakase diner, serving two fixed price menus.
Sonder is helmed by Chef Joe Leong, who comes from a family of professional chefs. Most notably, his father, Sam Leong, is a renowned celebrity chef who founded Forest, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Resorts World Sentosa.
Previously working in various dining establishments like Forest and V Dining, Chef Joe has stepped out of his father’s shadow as the head chef of Sonder.
From 2pm to 5pm, look forward to an assortment of baked goods like fresh breads, viennoiseries and desserts, which are available for takeaway.
These baked goods include the Curry Baguette (S$5), Arugula and Pine Nut Roll (S$2.50), Kouign Amann (S$3.50) and Pain au Chocolat (S$4).
Specials only available on weekends are the Sweet Potato and Walnut Sourdough Loaf (S$6) and Hazelnut and Chocolate Croissant (S$5).
Meanwhile, Sonder’s omakase dinner serves two fixed price menus, costing either S$138++ or S$198++. The dishes that you may expect for dinner include Tom Yum Espuma and Kurobuta Pork Collar.
There are only 10 seats available per night for Sonder’s dinner, so do be sure to make a reservation on their website if you’re interested in heading down. Dinner reservations start from 17 May 2022, so be sure to check it out!
