While MasterChef Singapore Season 2 is done and dusted, the dust hasn’t truly settled in the Tapau Please studio. As a follow-up to our previous interview with Chef Bjorn and Exec Producer Nicholas Oh, we couldn’t miss out on a opportunity to round up the season’s finalists for a spill sesh, could we?
These amicable men swung by not only to say ‘hi’ but to also share some juicy anecdotes from their time in the MasterChef kitchen. We’ve now learnt that Derek, the season’s champion, is living one of his dreams by serving a stint at the world’s best restaurant, Mirazur, which happens to be holding a pop-up here in Singapore for three months. On the other hand, Leon is lending his expertise to a local F&B business in its menu curation.
They also dish some interesting strategies, to which, you might not know that Leon came in strong with the intention of making the most of the opportunity to forge friendships, while Derek was a bold force to be reckoned with right from day one. You’ll get to hear about how they overcame the challenges that got them to the finals as well as how the challenges in each episode helped hone their skills and confidence.
We had such a blast sitting down with Derek and Leon, and we hope you have just as much intrigue listening to them speak earnestly about their MasterChef Singapore experience. For all Tapau Please episodes, remember to tune in to us at Podbean, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and Apple Podcasts.
