In case anyone’s counting, here’s a confirmation that this is, indeed, Tiong Bahru Bakery‘s seventh outlet. And a gorgeous space at that. Taking over The Fabulous Baker Boy’s previous space at Fort Canning, the new space at Foothills is looking gorgeous already. Oh, and speaking of FBB, nobody asked, but here’s a guide to 17 of their cakes for your scrolling pleasure.

The new Tiong Bahru Bakery outlet is open daily and loaded with the usual cuppas and your favourite pastries. The unfailing Croissant (S$4.80), classic Kouign Amann (S$5), and Hazelnut Choux (S$10.50) are just a peek of what you’ll find at the bakery.

The standard adorable merchandise is also found here; think fun T-shirts, mugs, and totes, so you can shop to your heart’s content and rep your favourite cafe while getting your daily caffeine dose into your system. This way, it’s once again safe for anyone to speak to you without getting yelled at. I love Tiong Bahru Bakery and I’m proud of it.

On top of the already ravishing interior, the 120-seater space also borrows inspiration from pool-themed furnishing, reminding me fondly of Stylenanda’s revered Pink Pool Cafe in Seoul, which I spent way too much time in during my student exchange in South Korea. Look out for the floats, signages, and “lifeguard stands” that pepper the place—don’t we love a whimsical space?

Tiong Bahru Bakery is currently in its third day of operations and is complete with a viewing gallery, through which you will be able to watch all the croissant-baking action you want—a first-of-its-kind experience. A completely mesmerising endeavour if you ask me.
