Calling all bookworms and casual browsers alike! If you love strolling through aisles of books, sipping coffee, and soaking in some seriously cool architecture, we’ve got exciting news for you. Tsutaya Bookstore — Japan’s largest bookstore — is now open in Johor Bahru!

After making waves in KL (hello, Bukit Jalil and Intermark Mall!), this literary paradise has finally landed in AEON Mall Tebrau City. Johoreans, rejoice! And yes, our friends from Singapore, you’re invited too. It’s time to experience what you’ve been missing, as it’s only a 15-minute drive from the checkpoint.

New to Tsutaya Bookstore? Think BookXcess, but on a grander scale. The concept is similar — endless rows of books arranged on towering shelves, stylish merchandise, lifestyle products, and an in-house cafe for those much-needed coffee breaks.

As you step inside, the first thing to catch your eye is the stunning curved wooden shelf that wraps around the space. The books are meticulously organised by genre, making it easy to find exactly what you’re looking for.

And if you need a breather — or find yourself patiently waiting for your bookworm friends to geek about — kick back at the cosy lounge area, complete with comfy chairs and tables.
