Valentine’s Day is right around the corner— the season for chocolates, roses, teddy bears and fancy restaurant reservations for two. Romantic dinners have long been the most traditional date idea, so what better way to celebrate love on 14 Feb than with a luxurious dinner with your other half?
Here are the 12 best romantic dinners in Singapore for a memorable night out on Valentine’s Day 2024.
1. HUE Restaurant
If your significant other is a huge fan of Thai cuisine, be sure to head down to HUE this Valentine’s Day. This quaint restaurant, located along Tyrwhitt Road, will be presenting the Chef Table Menu, an exclusive Valentine’s Day menu available in 2 options: 9-course (S$78++ per pax, S$152++ for 2 pax) or 12-course (S$108++ per pax, S$210++ for 2 pax). The menu is available from 1 Feb onwards.
The 9-course Chef Table Menu begins with 3 bite-sized appetisers, Melon First, Niu Yolk and Egg-E-Egg-Egg, each of which offer exciting bursts of flavours to whet the appetite. Pulps Garden is a refreshing dish, made with juicy pomelo and Thai seasoning.
Next up is Not A Tom Yum, a spicy soup served with charred seafood, and Three Little Pigs, a delicious oven roasted crispy pork belly.
Seafood fans will love the tenderness of the Paper Fish, which is a steam-baked barramundi infused with Thai herbs and spices. Wrap It Up, on the other hand, combines kueh teow with minced pork, complete with a crunchy lettuce wrap.
End the meal with the refreshing Sohm Choon, which is lychee shaved iced topped with sweet and sour fruits, plus peanuts. For something a little extra, why not order an additional drink for S$8 each? The pretty Thai Milky Way and Butterfly Effect are a treat for the eyes and the tastebuds.
Couples who opt for the 12-course menu will get to enjoy 3 additional dishes: What The Fish!, Garlilicious Prawn and Tea-ramisu Tart. Plus, between 13 to 18 Feb, top up S$12 per pax to enjoy a glass of Rose Wine from France with your meal.

Each dish on the menu is designed and named to tell a love story, with First Date being the first course that kicks off your sensory adventure. This delicate dish marries Fukuoka Aori ika tartar with piquant yuzu dashi jelly and light cauliflower mousse. The second course, Love Potion, is an umami roasted chicken and basil broth served with a cube of spicy jalapeno toast.
Soul Mate is a treat for pasta fans— the tagliatelle is served in a pool of rich porcini sauce and topped with aburi Hokkaido sakura-masu.
The next course, Rising Love, consists of braised Australian Wagyu cheek atop turmeric seasonal vegetables. The Wagyu cheek is incredibly tender with a melt-in-the-mouth consistency.
End your meal with Hugs & Kisses, a stunning chocolate terrine with framboise granita. The richness of the chocolate isn’t too overwhelming, and is an absolute delight to savour.
The portions err a bit on the smaller side, especially since most courses are served on a single plate for 2 people to share. The set menu at Dew by Whitegrass would hence be more suited for those with smaller appetites.
