10 restaurants for a romantic Valentine’s Day date

There is no denying how much food is at the centre of every relationship. Be it romantic or otherwise, a good meal with the people you love is perhaps the epitome of time well-spent. Seeing as one of the most romantic (and commercialised) days are upon us, let’s not have any petty fights about deciding where to eat and use this list of 10 restaurants for a romantic Valentine’s Day instead. Whether it’s a date with your partner, a girlie Galentine’s dinner, or quality time with the bros, we have got you covered. Love always wins, especially on a full stomach.

1. Andaz

At Andaz, it’s all about those gorgeous views. Although the best view might be seated right across from you (That’s a line you’ll want to keep for later). Located on the 25th floor of Andaz, Alley on 25 is where you can sink your teeth into a scrumptious four-course Valentine’s Day Menu (S$98 per pax) as you sip on a welcoming glass of Prosecco.

You can then tell your partner how much you appreciate them over the Lobster Salad and Oven-baked Atlantic Salmon that’s served with a decadent Avruga caviar beurre blanc sauce. If not, you can always opt for the Chargrilled Cape Grim Angus Tenderloin accompanied with a light-as-air pomme puree.

Take your romance to new heights with rooftop steakhouse 665°F. With breathtaking views of the skyline, this is where you and your sweet need to be. A specially curated three-course Valentine’s Day Lunch (S$150 per pax) or a four-course Valentine’s Day Dinner (S$188 per pax) by Chef de Cuisine Wan Azhari will leave you swooning.

Look forward to the Yukon Gold Potato And Leek Soup topped with Kaluga Queen Caviar as a starter. Then, have your pick between the indulgent Boston Lobster Ravioli or the juicy Australian Beef Tenderloin. Either way, you know you’re in for a good time.

Romance hits its peak at Mr Stork, where you can go for a Romance Teepee Experience (S$300 per couple) that comes with a dreamy, snug rooftop teepee hut that you can cuddle with your partner from 5pm until closing. There in your little bubble, nibble on Andaz’s signature platter of savouries and sweets, while you wash it on with a bottle of decadent Billecart-Salmon Rosé Champagne.

If not, the Cupid’s Table Experience (S$350 per couple) with the same dinner menu is sure to earn you some major brownie points. What’s more, you’ll get to walk home with two 100ml Bespoke Hendrick’s Midnight Summer Solstice Gin cocktails—what a night indeed.

The only thing that can make a day of romance even better is a sentimental walk down memory lane. Tablescape’s Valentine’s Day Degustation Menu (S$168++ per couple; S$198++ per couple with two glasses of Champagne; S$268++ per couple with a bottle of Champagne) is a playful menu takes you through all the highs and lows of your relationship.

Here you have a French brandade, made with black cod whipped into a creamy emulsion, zingy lemon, and crispy squid ink polenta for that elusive spark. Things start to pick up with the First Meeting where you’ll be acquainted with a poached lobster crowned with foie gras and caviar.

Well, I don’t want to give the whole story away but know that it ends with a raspberry chocolate dessert named Fall in Love—which, I hope by now that you are indeed in the throes of passion. This menu is available from 10 to 14 February 2021, so grab your significant other and have a fun time reminiscing over Tablescape’s spread.
