Those who swing by Hong Lim Market & Food Centre during lunch break would probably spot Vic’s Mini Lava Cheesecake, a new hawker stall that opened on 2 May 2026. If you feel like you’ve seen owner, Victoria, somewhere before, you’re not imagining things. She previously ran Sabah Sandakan UFO TART, which opened 6 months ago at the same spot.

The stall specialises in mini-sized lava cheesecake in 4 flavours — Original (S$3.50), Taro (S$3.80), Chocolate (S$3.80), and Matcha (S$3.80). To get great value for your buck, you can also purchase any 4 for S$13 or any 6 for S$18. These flowy treats come without cake flour, allowing you to enjoy the pure goodness of the rich cheese.

Curious about why this made the cut for her new venture? Victoria tells us, “Usually, people struggle to finish an entire slice of lava cheesecake by themselves. So, I decided to create mini versions which can be enjoyed without making you feel overwhelmed.

The mini cheesecake takes just 5 mins to be ready in the oven. Victoria shares that if customers would like a bigger version, she can make 6-inch variations at S$38 each. All they have to do is let the stall know at least 2 days in advance.

vic mini lava - yam

The Taro was our pick of the morning. It was unique and the slight earthiness of the yam somehow paired really flawlessly with the creamy cheese. The centre portion was also oozy and luscious.

vic mini lava - original

You can’t go wrong with the Original. It wasn’t that sweet and had the perfect balance of creaminess and cheesy richness.

vic mini lava - chocolate n matcha

I smiled as I tasted the nostalgia of the Chocolate. It reminded me of the mini Tetra Pak chocolate milk that I had in primary school. We both felt that the Matcha could be a little bit more robust to dominate the cheese flavour a little more.

vic mini lava - egg tart

Vic’s Mini Lava Cheesecake also sells Portuguese Egg Tarts at S$1.80 each. Alternatively, you can save some money by getting 4 for S$6.50 or 6 for S$9.
