Huber’s Butchery offers a selection of wagyu cuts from the Australian award-winning farm, Jack’s Creek. For a truly unique melt-in-your-mouth experience, you must try the delectable Rib Cap – Deckle ($29.90/100g)Inside Skirt ($19.90/100g) and Eye Round ($16.90/100g) cuts that are available at Waa Cow! You can expect a wonderful taste of Japanese excellence from Waa Cow! Yakinuku’s Kagoshima A4 Wagyu Tasting Platter ($68.00 for 200g). This includes must-try cuts from Satsuma Gyu: A4 Kainomi (Flap), A4 Karubi (Short Plate), A4 Jo-Karubi (Short Rib), A4 Sasabara (Flank), A4 Harami (Inside Skirt) and A4 Nakochi Karubi (Rib Finger).

My personal favourite is the A4 Jo-Karubi (Short Rib) as I love my beef a little fatty. For a more chewy bite, go for the A4 Harami (Inside Skirt) and A4 Sasabara (Flank). It’s safe to say you can count on this platter to suit the taste buds of everyone at your table!

A bit of trivia before you go: ‘wagyu‘ is an amalgam of two words, ‘wa‘ that means ‘Japanese’ and ‘gyu‘ that means ‘cow’. Wagyu beef is essentially 4 different breeds of cattle that emerged from breeding Japanese cattle with European stock.

Remember to share that with your friends as you enjoy your delightful wagyu beef at Waa Cow! Yakiniku.
