There’s nothing quite like the feeling of having a nice dinner, bonding with your close friends and family over a live barbecue grill. There’s so many options in town these days too, with one of the more popular ones being yakiniku—or Japanese-style barbecued meat.

If you’re an Aljunied regular, you’d be glad to know then that a new yakiniku place has just opened for business right within the neighbourhood. Called Yakiniku Warrior, the store sits in a coffee shop at Block 121 Geylang East Central and serves all the barbecue goodness you’d need for a truly complete yakiniku feast.

Their set menu includes 8 different options called grades, which ranges from Grade S to Grade G. Go for Gold with the Grade S’ (which stands for Supreme and is the most expensive item on the set menu) Wagyu Steak Set (S$17), or satisfy all your Japanese beef cravings with Grade A’s Premium Karubi Set (S$14) which consists of 4 premium short ribs from the US.

Another tantalising option comes in the form of the Warrior Set (S$13), which includes beef tongue, short plate and skirt steaks. If you’re looking for variety, get a mixture of chicken, beef and pork with the Beatbox Set (S$8). Yakiniku Warrior has also got your back if you’re not a beef eater, with the Chicken Set (S$6) that comes with 9 small pieces of chicken and is also the cheapest item on the set menu.
