How often do you find $1 food deals in Singapore? Here are some of the best promotion secrets there are so amazing, you’ll be at a loss of words questioning whether we’re back in the 90s at these food prices.

1. $1 Hiroshima Oysters at Teru Sushi

Teru sushi hiroshima oyster $1

This is probably Singapore’s best kept $1 food secret that I mulled over really long whether to promote or not – I wanted to have this place all to myself la. But Chef Steve Quek, also widely recognized as the inventor of the Shiok Maki, has a really nice and cosy restaurant which deserves much more recognition. I only hope he keeps a table for me.

So here you go: $1++ huge and plump Japanese Hiroshima oysters, with no minimum order, available every day and any time. Teru opens till 5am to boot!

These oysters are even better than some of the premium ones I’ve tried at 5 times the price. In my opinion, this is the best $1 deal in Singapore and I suggest you head there before it gets too crowded.

Obviously, portions aren’t all that big and you’ll need a few bowls to actually fill your stomach. The Tom Yam noodle version is also available at $1.50.

All vegetarian dishes are at $1 while drinks are at $0.50.

The goal of Mummy Yummy is to help feed the less fortunate in Singapore, especially the construction workers in Kranji, and thus their low price. They distribute food to neighborhoods via a delivery service as well – a highly commendable social spirit.

The food menu changes daily, with 2 dish options available each day. Items like chicken rice, lor mee, fried kway teow and curry rice are all part of this little vegetarian social business. Do give them some support!
