If you are a Japanese food aficionado, you have to know about the magical supermarket that is Medi-Ya at Liang Court. Scour the aisles often enough and you might stumble upon hidden treasures to tide you over till your next trip to the Land of the Rising Sun.
Here are some new exciting items that Medi-Ya has blessed us with.
First up, everyone’s favourite cup noodle brand Nissin. They really upped the ante with their Nissin Rich Sea Urchin Cream Cup Noodle (S$3.80). With the dark blue and gold packaging, you know this is one atas cup noodles.
As you know uni is a Japanese delicacy so it really baffles me how they managed to get it into a cup of noodles. According to the website, this is called hobo-uni so it’s more uni-like rather actual uni.
The actual uni is only about 6.9% but you know the Japanese are an ingenious bunch of people. You have to taste it to find out.
Japanese Curry fanatics this one is for you. Coco Ichibanya has come up with two new instant creations, Coco Ichibanya Curry Udon (S$3.50) and Coco Ichibanya Curry Soba (S$3.50).
I’m quite a fan of Coco Ichibanya’s curry so this new addition is very much welcomed.
