With so many good bars and restaurants in Singapore, it takes a lot to stand out from the crowd.

Say hi to Risky Business, a Tom Cruise-themed bar located at Duxton Hill. No surprise, the owner Jamie Gripton is a huge Tom Cruise movie fan, who also has a passion for the bar and beverage business. He also owns Pandora’s Garden, Singapore’s first rosé bar at Ann Siang Hill.

The theme is evident from the signature drinks offered here, with names and concoctions inspired by Tom Cruise movies.

You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling (S$18++) is a Ketel One vodka-powered Cosmopolitan that references the movie Magnolia. His co-star Julianne Moore was seen drinking a Ketel One in one of the scenes.

Another homage is You Can’t Handle The Vermouth (S$18++). This drink was inspired by the movie A Few Good Men, featuring other popular stars such as Demi Moore and Kevin Bacon. This cocktail is a twist on the usual Negroni, served with a napkin stamped with its name.

Another cool connection is that the movie was written by Aaron Sorkin, who penned the script on cocktail napkins while he was bartending in Broadway theatres.

If you are in need of some food, there are also bites and mains from L’Entrecote, a French steakhouse located right next door.

Happy Hour goes on between 5pm – 7pm, with S$11 Asahi Draft, as well as 1-for-1 deals for their weekly classic cocktails.

Ladies, don’t forget to mark your calendars on Thursday’s Ladies’ Night for a welcome shot! Whether you’re having an exciting night out or just drinking to chill, this bar is just the place for you.

Dates & Times: Now Open, 5pm – 12midnight (Mon – Sat), Closed on Sun

Prices: S$18++ for signature drinks
