New in town: Iseecream, Upper Thomson — Ice cream and herb & spice waffles till 2am

It seems like ice cream and waffles have come a full circle, aye? Lately, there’s been a huge surge of gelato and waffle places, so here, let me help you with a quick recap on the new openings. There’s Haute and Cauld, Hay Gelato, Gelato Labo, East Coast Commune, and now finally, Iseecream, which has popped up at Upper Thomson—an area already brimming with cafes and the like.

Open till 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays, here’s yet another supper spot to frequent after those late-night bak chor mee romps. Those fans of the herb-infused cones at the famed Birds of Paradise will also enjoy Iseecream’s Mini Herb & Spice-Infused Belgian Waffle (S$3.50), which will probably pair nicely with a fruity or floral flavour of ice cream—all while keeping to a manageable portion. Perfect for those who can do the crime (of indulging in a midnight dessert) but won’t pay the time (of hitting the gym).

Personally, I’ve got my eye on the Biscoff, Pistachio, and Valrhona Dark Chocolate (S$5 per scoop, S$20 per pint) flavours—it’s quite clear by now that milky, rich, and nutty flavours are definitely up my alley.

Other flavours other the specials also include White Peach Yogurt, Rock Melon, and Soursop (S$4 per scoop, S$16 per pint), which all sound deliciously refreshing in their own right.

If I wasn’t already jealous of Upper Thomson folks for having prata and bak chor mee at their disposal no matter the time, this has just added another reason for me to be.
