Deep-fried, drizzled with tare, served atop a bed of warm, fluffy rice? Sign me up. Tendon lovers take note, for Les Amis group‘s venture into the beloved Japanese dish has just unveiled its second outlet in the basement level of Raffles City. Tenjin is no stranger to the donburi scene, with its first outlet in Shaw Centre already winning over our rice-loving hearts.

This new outlet, however, brings something new to the table. Customers can now also opt for the Inaniwa Udon Set (S$24.80), a refreshing spin on the traditional pairing of tempura and rice. Served either hot or cold, the in-house mentsuyu broth features a touch of yuzu. The citrusy notes provide a brighter accent to the assorted tempura. Noodle lovers can rejoice as the addition of udon to the menu makes for a wider variety of carb choices to choose from.

Of course, the traditional rice bowls are still on Tenjin’s menu, and diners can expect a range of options, like the vegetarian-friendly Yasai Set (S$12.80), or the Toku-Jo (S$22.80) which consists of top-of-the-line seafood ingredients like anago (eel), crab legs, prawn, and fish. Fans of spicy food can also select the spicy tare for an added kick to your battered goodies.

Tenjin is also introducing a limited time offer for the entire month of December 2020. For those who patronise the new outlet and make payment by 12pm, you can enjoy a complimentary Truffle Chawanmushi (S$4) as a silky smooth side dish to your tendon sets. Be there early and be first to the prize.

Furthermore, folks at home can still enjoy Tenjin’s offerings as there is islandwide delivery as well as takeaway options. For more information, check out their website and menu here.
