There is no shortage of fancy restaurants in the posh neighbourhood of Dempsey and MOONBOW is one that should be next on date night.

MOONBOW is where you’ll find Modern European cuisine with a distinct Asian influence. Helmed by Chef Heman who has more than 38 years of culinary experience, you know you’re in good hands.

Dubbed the Iron Man chef, Chef Heman is also a multi-hyphenate as a passionate ceramist, triathlete and of course, celebrated chef. A true overachiever, we can only hope for good things with MOONBOW.

Since Chef Heman loves his ceramics, you’ll have to pay special attention to all the beautiful plates that MOONBOW uses. We’ve only gotten a hint at this gorgeous Cereualan blue and we already love it. Of course, the most important thing we have to look forward to is the food.

Think of MOONBOW as elevated fusion food, with dishes such as the Black Silkie Poulet (S$38) that features a chargrilled black silkie chicken leg, covered in a garlicky crumb and served with a creamy Bearnaise sauce. Of course, for those that truly want to live up to the vibes at MOONBOW, have a serving of their Moonbow Oyster Bay, which is a serving of delicate ice smoked Fin de Claire oysters topped with oyster leaves, yuzu gel, cucumber pearl and yuzu granita. It’s a lovely starter if you ask me.

For a little more fun, you can indulge in MOONBOW’s Set Lunch (S$35 for 2-course, S$45 for 3-course) and Set Dinner Menu (S$79 for 4-course, S$99 for 5-course) with small and big plates. They are an excellent way for you to try more of MOONBOW’s dishes.

You can look forward to the likes of  Wagyu Carpaccio, and the Angus Beef Short Ribs that features 100-day Grain-fed smoked short ribs. Either way, your time at MOONBOW is sure to charm and delight.
