Like most Singaporeans, the one thing that I miss most in 2020 was the freedom to travel. Usually, to mark the end of the year, my husband and I would make a short trip to Taiwan, just to meet up with friends and feast on the local cuisine. Like me, if you are missing your bowls of authentic Taiwanese street delights, why not fix your cravings at the new Eat 3 Bowls Station?

If you find the name of the restaurant strangely familiar, you are not mistaken. Eat 3 Bowls Station is, in fact, the second outlet of the already famous Eat 3 Bowls restaurant located at Crawford Lane. Located at Pasir Panjang, the new outlet takes on a brand new look, mimicking an old-school Taiwan train station thus explaining the name of this eatery.

While in Taiwan, how can we miss out on three of their most famous dishes—the Braised Pork Rice (S$5), Chicken Rice (S$5) and Oyster Intestine Mee Sua (S$7.20)? At Eat 3 Bowls Station, get ready to be transported immediately to the Formosa as you savour these authentic treats and busk in the cosy and homely atmosphere.

As an accompaniment to your hearty bowls of carbohydrates, try their smoky and delectable Sauteed Beef Cubes With Garlic (S$19.90) as well as comforting soups such as the Bittergourd Pork Rib Soup (S$5.50) and Wintermelon Clam Soup (S$5.50). I’m pretty sure most of us will appreciate sipping on these warm, flavourful broths especially since the weather has been so chilly these days!

Of course, we can never miss out on some bubble tea action here. Whilst the Fresh Milk With Brown Sugar Pearls (S$4.30) and Black Tea Latte With Pearls & Red Beans (S$4.80) will tickle the fancy of those who prefer a rich and creamy beverage, the Lemon Wintermelon Tea (S$4.30) and Passion Fruit QQ (S$4.80) will make for great options if you are looking for a refreshing drink to complement your meal.

The desperate wanderlust in me is already itching to head to Eat 3 Bowls Station to reminisce my holidays in Taiwan over a bowl of Braised Pork Rice and a cup of bubble tea. What about you?
