This one’s another neat addition to our food-obsessed little red dot. Rollie Ollie isn’t a fresh face in the industry. It burst onto the scene in 2015, offering made-to-order sushi rolls that are all sorts of funky and delicious.

Six years on, it now boasts four outlets islandwide, with the latest opening at Woods Square. It marks the establishment’s first store away from central Singapore. Westies, rejoice! There’s now a Rollie Ollie in the heart of Woodlands

Its menu now is all the more vibrant and extensive. Of course, you still have an impressive selection of sushi rolls to whet your appetite. Expect classics like the Sunkissed Salmon (S$8.50 for four pieces, S$15.80 for eight pieces), which promises a heady combination of seared salmon, crab meat, avocado, cucumber, mentaiko, and wasabi mayo, all wrapped within sushi rice.

If seafood’s not your thang, the Chipotle Chicken (S$6.90 for four pieces, S$12.90 for eight pieces) boasts fried chicken, cucumber, lettuce, crunchy tempura bits, and a piquant chipotle mayo to boot. These two sushi rolls only scratch the surface of Rollie Ollie’s wide array of menu items. Bring a friend along, and have a go at their other unique sushi combinations.

Apart from sushi rolls, poke bowls are another mainstay on the restaurant’s menu. This Hawaiian favourite of diced raw fish over rice is no stranger to the local food scene. Joining the ranks of Moam Poke & Acai, Rollie Olie’s iterations are also impressively varied and playful.

Go for the Cha Cha Cha (S$13.90) that’s empowered by fiery sriracha sauce, feta cheese, and tamago. If you’re looking for some fruity indulgence, the Yuzu Bliss (S$13.90) would be right up your alley with a mix of roselle apple, orange, and a citrusy yuzu sauce.

Rollie Ollie’s newest outlet in Woods Square is shaping out to be a fun new spot for sushi rolls and poke bowls for those staying in the West.
