A trendy new minimalistic café has recently opened in ITE College Central; Boon Café is located within the school at Blk F, right beside the running tracks. Boon Café, named after the owner’s surname, is a spacious 22-seater space that is open to the public and conducive for both café hoppers and students seeking a place to unwind.
The white and wood-themed café prides itself on serving an array of tasty fare such as bread, cakes, sandwiches, western dishes, coffee and tea, while keeping them at pocket-friendly prices. In this case, everything on their menu is below S$10.
They also have an All Day Breakfast set which comes in two options: Sweet (S$5) or Savoury (S$7) with an additional charge of S$0.50 for the public. What’s exciting to note is that they bake their own country loaf too.
Apart from the All Day Breakfast set, another one of their favourites that shouldn’t be missed is their piping hot bowl of Curry Chicken with Country Loaf (S$6).
They also have a signature menu item which is the Build Your Own (byo) Bowl which ranges from S$5 that will give you the option to customise your own healthy bowl with your choice of greens, protein, carbs and dressing. Classic Western dishes such as Chicken Chop with Brown Sauce (S$6), Breaded Fish (S$6) and many more can also be found on the menu.
Initially started out as a home-based venture selling baked goods, they finally have a physical café to serve quality food at student-friendly prices. As such, you will also be able to find some of their best-selling homemade bread and cakes in-store.
