Mad about the Minions? I assure you that you’re not alone. These crazy characters have captured the hearts of kids, teenagers, and adults alike. It’s therefore excusable for anyone to get hysterical by what we’re about to reveal.

The special news is…(drumroll)… Minion Land is coming to Singapore— and you’re in for a despicably wonderful time! Universal Studios will up their game with the brand new minion-themed zone where you can indulge in your minion obsession. Construction will begin in the second quarter of 2022.

With the ever-popular “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” 3D ride (featuring a hyper-realistic projection system), a meet-and-greet with your favourite characters, themed eateries, a merch store, and a chance to create amazing memories, there’s a lot to look forward to.

The themed eateries (we’re guessing) are likely to have everything in blue and yellow. Think themed interior walls and decor, posters, placemats, seats, cutlery, and Insta-worthy backdrops. If you’re seeking a crazy day of family fun, Minion Land is the place to be!

Minion Land will be replacing the happy, dancing animal mascots of Madagascar, which is the first zone you come across when you visit USS. Why the change, you may ask? The switch-up is a move by Resort World Sentosa. Its aim is to boost Singapore’s post-pandemic tourism recovery by introducing new and exclusive entertainment options which elevate visitors’ experiences.

But before Minion Land becomes a reality, USS has organised something special (One Last Boogie!) to bid Alex, Julien, and friends goodbye. A S$78 Madagascar Farewell Special (U.P. S$98) running from 10 to 27 March 2022. From meet-and-greets to a float parade, it’s going to be one helluva party with Madagascar’s creatures. Well, it’s time that they’ve got to MOVE IT!
