If you haven’t heard of the term ‘NFTs’, are you living in the 21st century? I’m joking! An NFT, or non-fungible token, is a non-interchangeable unit of data stored on a blockchain that can be sold and traded. Local brand, KIAP, has come up with a limited-edition collection of taco NFTs.

These taco NFTs are inspired by local taco flavours. Now, not only can you eat your taco, but you can also save it in your digital wallet. KIAP was created by Jeremy Cheok, founder of The Slake Collective.

THE FIRST KIAPCollection will be up for auction starting 30 March 2022 until 29 April 2022. Their project includes digital 3D tacos, featuring a variety of taco ingredients. Flavours are inspired by the Asian palate; think Chicken Rendang, Vietnamese Cha Ca Cod, Tempura Ebi and more.

The local taco brand is offering 30 unique NFTs with a starting price of 0.05 ETH— also known as Ethereum, a cryptocurrency— and promises token owners a box of 12 tacos for the launch drop. Holders of this exclusive genesis collection will also automatically whitelisted for KIAP’s future web3 projects.

If you’re in the mood for a taco you can actually sink your teeth into, the folks have a variety in a multitude of Asian-inspired flavours available for purchase on its Oddle site. Think Crispy Nonya Chicken Tacos (S$15), Cha Ca Cod Tacos (S$19), and more. If you’re planning to celebrate the 10-pax regulation with a long-awaited social gathering, they’ve got a 12 Taco Feast (S$132) that’s perfect for the occasion.
