A new hawker stall serving authentic Indonesian food has opened in Redhill. Ayam Goreng Kawani, which opened on 5 May 2022, offers a variety of Indonesian dishes with four chilli options.

Ayam Goreng Kawani‘s food is prepared by a Muslim chef and their signature Kawani Fried Chicken is made with quality free-range chicken and 12 native Indonesian spices.

Try the rice dishes, like the Ayam Goreng Set Special (S$8.50) which features their Kawani original fried chicken with turmeric spiced rice, Kawani original spicy chilli, orek tempe and mie goreng.

Meanwhile, the Ayam Bakar Set Special (S$8.50), consists of their Kawani special BBQ chicken with spiced lime rice, sambal belacan, tahu goreng and mie goreng.

Each rice dish comes with a side of chilli sauce, of which you can choose from the following four sauces, listed from spiciest to least spicy: Kawani Original (hot & spicy sambal), Sambal Matah (Indonesian salsa chilli), Sambal Belacan (shrimp paste chilli) or Sambal Hijau (green chilli). To add an extra portion of chilli, you can top up S$0.80.

If noodles are more up your alley, Ayam Goreng Kawani serves their versions of popular Indonesian noodle dishes, like Mie Ayam (S$5.90), an Indonesian chicken noodle street food dish, and Mie Geprek (S$5.90), made of fried noodles with crispy fried chicken, sambal matah, a sunny side up egg, onion crackers and fried shallot.

Grab a quick bite with the Kawani Mid Wings (S$4.90 for 5 pieces), served with spicy black sauce for dipping.
