Chai fanatics, here’s a spot for you to run to during your next cafe outing. Good Chai People is a newly opened cafe specialising in chai, perfect for satisfying your tea cravings.
Good Chai People opened on 24 September 2022 along East Coast Road. Aside from serving your usual pastries, sides and mains, the cafe stands out with its impressive variety of beverages.
Choose from 11 different chai drinks, including the Sticky Chai Latte (S$7), Hoji-Chai Latte (S$7), Dirty Chai Latte (S$7.50), Salted Maple Chai (S$6.50), Minty Chai (S$7) and Turmeric Chai (S$7). They even have unique flavours like Apple Cinnamon Chai (S$7.50), Triple Citrus Spiced Chai (S$8) and Naked Vanilla Chai (S$6.50)!
Good Chai People also offers an interesting selection of croissant flavours. Their classic Plain Croissant comes in at S$4, but you can opt for more exciting varieties like the Hojicha Oreo Croissant (S$6.50), Churros Croissant (S$6.50) and Kaya Butter Croissant (S$6.50).
Savoury options include the Brie & Truffle Mushroom Croissant (S$10.50), Smoked Duck Croissant (S$10.50) and Smoked Salmon Croissant (S$10.50).
Dig into Good Chai People’s mains, like the Braised Beef Cheek Polenta (S$18), made with parmesan polenta and red wine jus, Cajun Meatball Polenta (S$18), a creamy parmesan polenta topped with pork or beef meatballs and sausage, and the Roasted Cauliflower Steak (S$20), a vegan dish made with truffle hummus, caramelised cauliflower, sauteed mushrooms, guacamole and truffle hashbrowns.
Enjoy a sweet treat with Good Chai People’s desserts. For S$7, get the Speculoos Apple Tart, Lemon Drizzle Tea Cake or Lemon Meringue Tart. Other options are the Lychee Rose Cake (S$9), Chocolate Banana Cake (S$8.50) and Warm Fudgy Chocolate Brownies (S$8).
