If you haven’t heard of Amigo’s, they’re a hawker stall under the Tenderfresh Group offering affordable Tex-Mex Cuisine. Five-time Michelin Bib Gourmand award winner, HJH Maimunah, is no stranger to many locals, especially to our friends in the Malay-Muslim community. Why did I mention these two stalls? That is because both of them will be occupying Kedai Kopi coffeeshop at Yishun 925 which is set to be operational on 31 October 2022— mark your calendars, Yishunites!

What can we expect at the new Amigo’s outlet? Die-hard fans can rest assured that hot favourites such as the Guacamole & Salsa Fries (S$4.50) will still be available. Diners can also savour western dishes such as the newly introduced Breaded Fish Cutlet with Fries (S$8.90), where each order is breaded upon order and served with their signature tartar sauce.

Exclusively at this stall, Amigo’s will also launch hand-stretched oven-fresh pizzas that are made-to-order. Options include Truffle Mushroom Pizza (S$13.90) and BBQ Smoked Duck Pizza (S$12.90)— who doesn’t love pizzas?!

Also, one of the most underrated dishes served here will be their baked rice dishes, and the Chilli Crab Seafood Baked Rice (S$10.90) is not to be missed. It uses aromatic chicken rice as the base, is topped with fresh seafood and spicy chilli crab sauce, and enveloped by rich mozzarella cheese.

Over at this new Kedai Kopi coffeeshop, HJH Maimunah Mini is the largest stall and will operate from 8am to 8pm. It will offer their award-winning dishes to patrons living in the North.

You can choose if you want to choose your dishes in the typical cai fan (rice and dishes) style, or indulge in some of their à la carte dishes.

At only S$8.50, their Nasi Sambal Goreng Set comprises rice with six delicious side dishes. They include sambal goreng jawa, sambal sotong, paru (beef lungs), begedel, serunding (desiccated coconut) and sambal tumis.

The Lontong (S$4.50) and Mee Bakso (S$5.50) are also not to be missed!

The upcoming Kedai Kopi coffeeshop which is located directly across from Yishun Bus Interchange and Northpoint City will open to the public by the end of October 2022. Let’s keep our fingers crossed that renovations will run smoothly!
