Tanjong Katong’s local favourite Madeleine’s Original Portuguese Egg Tarts will close on 16 Aug 2024. Known for its S$2.50 Portuguese egg tarts, this well-liked store has been feeding the neighbourhood since 1998. The landlord’s selling of the property was the reason for the social media notification of closure. Madeleine’s is left without a new place to continue its activities as a result of this unforeseen occurrence.
