All you beef lovers, you’re in for a treat. Coming straight from Japan, Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu will finally be gracing our shores, opening their very first outlet at Raffles City Mall.

With outlets across Japan, such as Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka, Kyoto, and Nara, the brand has made its mark in expanding overseas. Its recent opening in Bangkok’s Siam Center marks just the beginning of its international journey.

Originating from Kyoto, Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu specialises in, yes, you guessed it, gyukatsu (hence the name) – the beef version of the popular tonkatsu, AKA deep-fried pork cutlet.

Choose from a variety of beef cuts, such as sirloin, chuck, tenderloin, and tongue, or go a little bougie and opt for the wagyu beef. Can’t decide? No worries! Go for the Half-and-Half Gyukatsu Zen.

The meats are then deep-fried to a perfect medium-rare before hitting your table. Feel like it’s not cooked enough for you? Fret not; you can still grill the meat to your preferred level of doneness before devouring it.

The gyukatsu also comes with numerous condiments, such as Fresh Wasabi, Onsen Egg, and their proprietary Gyukatsu Sauce— each adding its own unique twist to the flavour profile.

They also have set meals that will be served alongside sides such as rice, cabbage, miso soup, onsen egg, and Kyoto-style curry, offering a well-rounded Japanese dining experience.

Get ready to sink your teeth into this crispy, thicc and juicy delight – your taste buds will definitely feel pampered.
