If you love shopping at JONETZ by DON DON DONKI for your Japanese snacks, skincare, or even household items, here’s some sad news — the Sunway Pyramid outlet is closing down on 31 July 2025, even though it’s one of their bigger stores.

In case you’re not familiar, DON DON DONKI is a popular Japanese store where you can find everything from sushi and snacks to face wash and toilet cleaners. It’s known for its super packed aisles, great Japanese finds, and its funny little blue penguin mascot, Donpen, who looks like he’s always up to something.

For long-time fans, this probably isn’t too surprising. In the past 2 years, DON DON DONKI has already closed at least 2 other outlets — one at IOI City Mall, and another at NU Sentral, which had just reopened briefly before closing again in May this year.

Just like what they did at NU Sentral, the Sunway Pyramid outlet is now having a clearance sale. Most items are up to 30% off, except for fresh food (or perishable and delica). Some things are marked down by 15%, too.

You can expect to get snacks and everyday items like cup noodles, 3-in-1 coffee, natto, and many more goods for lower prices.

If you’re looking to top up your skincare shelf, check out the JONETZ Men’s Hatomugi Skin Serum Water, Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum, or the COSPARADE Aloe Vera Moisture Gel — all big bottles for a small price.

For household items, there are plenty of fun and useful picks too. Keep your skin feeling fresh with MITSUEI and MELLSAVON body washes, clean your dishes with the cute fish-shaped OSAKANA sponge, or freshen up your toilet with JONETZ Toilet Cleaner.

So yes, while it’s a little heartbreaking to say goodbye to DON DON DONKI at Sunway Pyramid, you can still visit them at Lot 10 and Mid Valley Megamall. And until the end of July, this is the perfect time to swing by for some good deals before they pack up for good.
