Flower lovers, you have something to look forward to this week! Starting on 22 Oct, Flower Dome at Gardens by the Bay is hosting Sunflower Surprise, a beautiful exhibit of flowers that will transport you to Jaipur, India.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, Jaipur is the capital and largest city of the north-western state of Rajasthan in India. It is nicknamed the “Pink City” due to its iconic buildings. One of the main architectural structures you will notice at Sunflower Surprise is the rose-pink Hawa Mahal palace. The historical landmark of Amer Stepwell and the photo-worthy Patrika Gate also make an appearance. Make sure to snap lots of photos at these spots!

For the main attraction, visitors will find vibrant fields of sunflowers with warm colours, from yellow to red to brown. There are even some that grow up to 1.8m tall. Bright marigolds can also be found amidst the fields, presenting guests with a colourful landscape. You can also spot elephants and peacocks throughout your visit.
Sunflower Surprise is open daily from 9am to 9pm, until 16 Nov, and is presented in collaboration between Gardens by the Bay and the High Commission of India in Singapore. Beyond just being a pleasant surprise to the eyes, it is a celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between Singapore and India.
To experience Sunflower Surprise, you simply need to purchase an admission ticket to Flower Dome. For Singapore residents, this will be S$12 for adults and S$8 for seniors and children. For non-residents, you will have to purchase the Flower Dome & Cloud Forest package at S$46 for adults and S$32 for children.
