With the debut of Sunway Square Mall in Sunway City, comes one of the most anticipated reveals of the year. The Library by BookXcess has officially opened its doors and it now holds the title of the largest 24-hour bookstore in South-East Asia

The Library by BookXcess - Storefront

Spread across two expansive floors, the bookstore unfolds like a literary labyrinth with nearly 1km of walkways. Towering shelves create cosy corridors that lead to quiet corners perfect for studying, working or simply losing yourself in a story.

The Library by BookXcess - Books

The moment you step inside, you are met with a generous sweep of genres that stretch from young adult favourites to contemporary fiction and heartfelt romance, amongst others.

The design heightens the experience with floating books suspended overhead and elevated hallways that add a dash of whimsy.

The Library by BookXcess - Seatings

Seating is scattered throughout with cushioned benches, individual rocking chairs, broad stair steps and practical study nooks equipped with electric sockets for a full day of reading or working.

The Library by BookXcess - Art & tarot

Art lovers will appreciate the curated walls filled with framed paintings and historical photographs, a charming backdrop whether you are capturing a moment for Instagram or simply enjoying the view for yourself.

Oh— there’s also a tarot reading corner for my aspiring witches, psychics and hopeless romantics.

When hunger strikes, Kenny Hills Bakers awaits within the space, offering coffee, pastries, cakes and artisanal ice cream that make for a comforting pause between chapters. Plenty of tables await you and your crew for a cosy refuel.

The Library by BookXcess - Notebooks, tumblers & more

Beyond books, The Library also caters to collectors and casual shoppers with an array of notebooks, tumblers, stationery, puzzles and other novelty treasures.

The Library by BookXcess - Blind boxes

Expect blind boxes from Butterbear, Mofusand, Kuromi and local creative label Loka Made, as well as figurines from Demon Slayer and One Piece for anyone who enjoys a small thrill of surprise (or maybe an impending gambling addiction).

Ultimately The Library by BookXcess brings together convenience, comfort and creativity in one seamless space. It invites visitors to browse, linger and return often, making it an easy new favourite for anyone who enjoys a good book and a great atmosphere.
